Hospital Bats 'Contained,' Admin Says
No patients were in danger of coming into contact with bats.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Patients at Palos Community Hospital were never in contact with bats found in the OB unit, administrators said this week.
The unit is still closed a week later, but the bats have been contained and removed. No patients came in contact with the bats, officials said.
The bats were caught and turned over to animal control, and patients were relocated to another unit.

But despite emails saying as much, the hospital is not closed. The bats apparently got in through an area under construction, officials said, as reported by the Daily Southtown.
"Two or three" bats were found.
