Intruder Fires Gun during Palos Hills Home Invasion: Police
The shots rang out after a struggle with the people inside the home, police said Tuesday.

PALOS HILLS, IL — An offender in a home invasion in Palos Hills Dec. 30 allegedly fired two shots during a struggle with those inside the residence, police said Tuesday.
No one was hit by the bullets, but one victim's eyes were injured. The victim was taken to a local hospital, treated and released.
The victim told police that several people had forced their way in to the home in the 10700 block of South Roberts Road, according to police reports.

A struggle followed, and one of the intruders allegedly fired a gun, the victim told police.
The home invasion appears to be an isolated incident and remains under investigation, police said. No arrests had been made as of Jan. 3.
