Join Palos Park Police for a Cup of Coffee
Palos Park police taking part in national initiative to improve community relations.

PALOS PARK, IL — Officers with the Palos Park Police Department will take part in "Coffee with a Cop" event on Wednesday, August 10, from 8 to 11 a.m., at the Plush Horse 12301 S 86th Ave.
"Come out and meet our officers with no set agendas or speeches, just casual conversation over coffee with some of our officers that patrol your street at 3 a.m. or answer that call on your street at 10 p.m," said Police Commissioner Dan Polk.
The conversations are open-ended and officers will be tackle any neighborhood concerns, senior scam issues, questions on the police cadet program or any regarding what policing in 2016 is like.

Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative in which police officers and community members come together in an informal setting to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink coffee. The program's goal is to improve communication by breaking down barriers, allowing for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction.
