Kelly Clarkson Saves Abby Kasch In Cross Battles On 'The Voice'
Palos Park native Abby Kasch saved by Coach Kelly Clarkson for Top 24 after losing battle round to Gyth Rigdon.
PALOS PARK, IL -- Palos Park native Abby Kasch got an early birthday present Tuesday night from Coach Kelly Clarkson during the results show of the first-ever live cross battle rounds on NBC’s “The Voice.”
Abby, who turns 21 today, lost Monday’s sing-off to Gyth Rigdon, when America chose Rigdon to advance to the next round. Clarkson, who shares Abby’s birthday, used her last save of the round to keep Abby around for the top 24.
"I just think you're so talented and I don’t want to risk losing you,” Clarkson told Abby. “I love the song you are doing next week and cannot wait for America to hear it."

Fellow south suburbanite Oliv Blu, of Flossmoor, also made the top 24 in last week’s live cross battle.
