Meet Karen Carpenter-Tribute Artist Lisa Rock Via Facebook Live

PALOS HILLS, IL — Fans will have a chance to meet one of the country’s most renowned Karen Carpenter-tribute artists starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 9. Moraine Valley Community College and the MVCC Fine and Performing Arts Center will present Lisa Rock, who has a storied and successful singer, musician, actor, writer and now tour manager and booking agent via Facebook Live.

Rock created “Close to You: The Music of the Carpenters” ten years ago in what is now the most successful Carpenters’ tribute show in the United States. What started as just one show in one venue has grown their anniversary show last year, celebrating that she’s performed this show nearly 300 times in 40 states.

It was while planning that tour that Lisa knew she wanted to bring this same level of success to other artists who are as dedicated to recreating authentic musical experiences as she is. Lisa was proud to create Lisa Rock Entertainment in 2019 representing a strong roster of artists recreating the performances of Barry Manilow, Carol King, Judy Garland, and Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, which she cannot wait to share with venues and audiences across the country.
