Palos Heights, IL — A Palos mom popped open her son's Happy Meal from a local McDonald's earlier this week to find that it seemed like someone else had taste-tested it.
Lisa Jarmoszka visited the Palos Heights location, at 7100 W. 127th St., on July 6, and was shocked to find a chicken nugget drenched in sweet and sour sauce, with what appears to be a bite already taken out of it. She called the restaurant to complain and turned to social media to share her story.
"The Palos Heights McDonald's has reached a new low," wrote Jarmoszka in a local Facebook group. "...To their credit, when I called the manager said he'd have someone deliver a new one to our home, but this is gross!"

She was directed to call corporate with her concerns and was less than impressed with its response. Customer Service Manager Lisa Aucunas apologized, also pledging to follow up with staff "to make sure everyone understands our procedures for ensuring accurate orders."
The issue didn't appear to be one of accuracy; Jarmoszka's photo shows that she was handed food that had been tampered with and eaten.

Her complaints aren't the first about this location. The restaurant's Yelp page has more than a dozen reviews, the majority of which are negative.
"Never ever again, this is officially the WORST Mc Donald's I have ever been to," wrote one Yelp reviewer. "I have not had a good experience at this store since 1990. No joke."
Another said she'd give a lower rating if she could.
"I wish we could give zero stars," one woman wrote. "Why doesn't McDonalds intervene at this franchise?"
