New Counseling Center For Women And Girls Opens In Palos Heights

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — A new counseling center for women and girls has opened in Palos Heights. Victress, A Wellness Center for Women will provide women and girls over age 10 with individual and group counseling sessions pertaining to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, relationships, parenting, life changes, grief and much more.

BlueCross BlueShield and Aetna insurances are currently accepted. For private pay clients, an initial counseling assessment (60 minutes) is $220 and 45-minute follow-up sessions are $180. A sliding scale is available based on financial need.

Currently, Victress, 7120 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, has open registration for its preteen anxiety group, to be held on June 23, June 30, July 7 and July 14 for a fee of $200. The group will help preteens deal with feelings of anxiety by providing them with a support system under the guidance of a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC). Participants will also be able to practice for stressful, real-life situations, improve their social skills and learn more about themselves during this four-week session.
