Palos Hills Resident Scammed Out Of $21,000: Reports
The texter told the resident to reset their bank account information, police said.
PALOS HILLS, IL — A resident was swindled out of thousands of dollars in a text scam, reports said.
Palos Hills police went to the 7800 block of 101st Place to investigate a deceptive practice. The resident received a text message to reset their banking information. After resetting their bank account, $21,000 was pilfered from the resident’s bank account.
