Palos Hospital Gives First COVID-19 Vaccines To Employees

Palos Hospital has administered the COVID-19 to over 1,200 front line workers since receiving its first shipment of the Pfizer vaccine.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Palos Hospital received its first shipment of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine last Friday. More than 1,200 front line employees have received their first doses of the vaccine. Employees will receive their booster in three weeks.

Intensive care nurse Ryan Gromnicki, RN, was among the first health care workers at Palos Hospital to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from Beth Anderson, clinical nurse leader of Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology.

The hospital expects to receive its first shipment of the Moderna vaccine after Christmas.
