Palos Park Businesswoman Gives Back To Her Community
Vivian Valtas, business owner, author, philanthropist, and Palos Park resident, is sponsoring free English as a second language classes.
PALOS PARK, IL -- Vivian Valtas, owner of the Valtas Insurance Agency and a resident of Palos Park, is sponsoring free English as a second language classes for immigrants hosted at her Garfield Ridge office, 6108 S. Archer Ave., Chicago, IL. Classes will be held on Thursdays, beginning February 7th through March 21st, from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Students can register for classes by calling (773)582-3322.
Sponsoring such programs for the community is nothing new for the Valtas Agency, which has received awards for having the highest customer satisfaction among life insurance providers for multiple years in a row. Valtas also has a passion for education- her firm has previously offered guitar lessons, Spanish classes, English classes and a computer class. Additionally, Valtas has provided school supplies for children along with an incentive program for reading and math achievement over the summer.
Valtas, whose dad was an immigrant from Greece, has a special place in her heart for immigrants and understands the benefits language classes can offer. Valtas Agency is partnering with another Palos-based company, English Unbound, to provide the classes.
