Palos Park Cadet Sergeant Sundermeier To Command Cadet Program

PALOS PARK, IL – Palos Park Cadet Sergeant Bobby Sundermeier will take over command over the Palos Park Cadet program, the department announced recently.

The program encourages young adults who are interested in careers in law enforcement to gain a better understanding of the profession and experience firsthand.

Sundermeier will oversee the Explorer Post program until he turns 21, according to the police department. He has been a cadet since he was 14 and served in all facets of the program. He is a graduate of Marist High School and currently attends Moraine Valley Community College.

The Explorer Program is a career education program where participants conduct training exercises and scenarios that emphasize ethics, personal integrity and respect.
