Palos Park Hosts 27th Annual Arbor Day Celebration

The event begins 1:00 PM at Village Hall.

PALOS PARK, IL — Palos Park's 27th Annual Arbor Day Celebration is set to take place today, Sunday, April 27, at 1:00 PM at the Kaptur Administrative Center, 8999 W. 123rd Street in Palos Park.

This year's event will feature a presentation by Peter Gordan, Palos Park high school student and founder of Homes4Monarchs. Since 2016, his organization has distributed hundreds of thousands of free milkweed seeds (which are the only source of food for monarch butterflies) throughout Palos and the greater Chicagoland area. Additional activities include arts and crafts and a raffle. The winner of this year's poster contest for children ages 4-12 will be announced, and refreshments will be available.
