Palos Park PD Launches New Facebook Page
Due to a Facebook policy update, the Palos Park Police Department had to create a new page.
PALOS PARK, IL — For more than a decade, the Palos Park Police Department has used Facebook as well as other social media platforms to keep residents of the village and surrounding areas in the loop by sharing daily crime and safety updates through its profile.
On Friday afternoon, Police Chief Joe Miller announced that the Police Department's Facebook page was affected by a recent update to Facebook's Privacy and Transparency Policies.

The Department was required to create a new page, which can be accessed by entering '@PalosParkPD' in the search bar on Facebook. The Palos Heights Police Department also maintains a Facebook page, which was unaffected by the policy update.
