Palos Park Police Offer Free Bicycle Helmets For Kids
Police are doing their annual free bike helmet giveaway to Palos Park kids. Pick a helmet up at the Palos Park police station.
PALOS PARK, IL — The Palos Park Police Department will again give kids free bicycle helmets. If your child needs a bike helmet, or if his or her head has grown from last year, police will be handing out FREE bike helmets.
Wearing a properly fitted helmet is the best way to prevent head injuries or death. The program is available to Palos Park residents only. Miller said the bike helmets can be picked up at the Palos Park police station, 8999 W. 123rd St.
The Palos Park Police Department is thinking positive by holding its annual bike helmet giveaway for local children. Whether we're still sheltering in place gradually easing back into regular life, police want kids to have fun riding their bikes this summer and if necessary, can still practice social distancing.
