“Compliance checks are done on a regular basis,” said Chief Joe Miller, of the Palos Park Police Department. “We do this so there is one less thing parents must worry about, especially this year and on a night like Halloween.”
Police advise parents to be aware of who is living in their neighborhood and to talk to their children about what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior when with other adults.
