Past story corrected

There has been a correction to a previous made article involving two teenage boy, a teenage girl, and some allegedly stolen sandals. Much of the previous article contained blatant and dangerous falsehoods. Yes, there was an incident that left three young adults shaken and hurt, but to spread lies about the incident is completely inappropriate. Rather than spreading lies about what an alleged police officer said regarding the incident and the possible charges, we, the community of Palos Hills, should work on guiding our young adults to be better than the generation before them. Again, an incident did occur, no one is saying otherwise, but the manner in which the incident has been falsified is uncivilized. The authorities are resolving the incident, and that is all we can ask from our local police department. All the families involved should want what is best for their children, and this includes protection, but this community has to do better in regards to what we say and post online. We must remember that, "it takes a village" to help our youth so they can correct the previous generation's mistakes.
