Shooting Investigation Underway On Harlem Avenue In Palos Heights

Palos Heights Police have recovered shell casings in what police say may be the result of road rage.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Police are investigating a shooting near 120th Street and Harlem Avenue in Palos Heights that happened Tuesday afternoon in Palos Heights.

Around 4:15 p.m., officers responded to the 12000 block of Harlem Avenue after callers reported hearing gunshots. Harlem Avenue was temporarily shut down but is now open. Police said the gunshots do not appear to be a random act and there is no threat to the community.

It appears several shots were fired, possibly the result of a road rage incident,” said Deputy Chief Bill Czajkowski, or the Palos Heights Police Department.

“We’ve recovered shell casings.” Czajkowski said no one is in custody and no injuries were reported.
