Small Change that has a Big Impact!

Bethany Christian Services launched its 31st Annual "Bethany Baby Bottle" Campaign

This year, Bethany Christian Services reached out to local businesses in Palos Heights and Oak Lawn to serve as hosts for the “Bethany Baby Bottle” campaign. In addition to the support from several small businesses serving as hosts, the National Honor Society of Chicago Christian High School also helped raise funds.

The funds are used to help expectant mothers who need emergency assistance for essentials such as prenatal care, food, housing, and other common expenses so women can have a safe and healthy pregnancy as they decide whether to parent or make an adoption plan. The funds also support our Safe Families for Children program, which is a network of volunteer host families who help parents in need of temporary care for their children as they work through hardships such as homelessness.

Bethany Christian Services would like to thank the following small businesses for supporting its efforts: Providence Bank and Trust, Central Discount Cleaners, Doughs Guys Bakery, Quality Plus Photo, Aurelio's Pizza, Ferrell Insurance Agency, DeLux Nails, Mona Lisa, Simple Taste Mediterranean Cuisine, Lucano’s Pizza and Catering, The Great American Bagel, Nany Koss Salon & Spa, Harvest Room, Palos Dental Center, Jullianni’s Pizzeria and Pub, Lush Salon, T-USA Martial Arts, and Shibui Condo Association.

The “small change” collected totaled $5,706.31. Bethany Christian Services is tremendously grateful to the small businesses that served as Baby Bottle hosts and to the National Honor Society of Chicago Christian High School for making this a grand success!

The small change leads to big change, big impact! The financial support not only goes toward essential items for vulnerable expectant mothers and Safe Families for Children program needs, but most importantly it makes the recipients feel nurtured, valued, and supported. We are grateful to the small businesses in Oak Lawn and Palos Heights that continually do big things for their neighbors. The small businesses in Palos Heights and Oak Lawn are a vital ingredient for a healthy market economy and a compassionate community.
