Are you looking to be equipped to defend the lives of the unborn? Come to SpeakOut Illinois Coalition’s annual pro-life conference on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Drury Lane in Oak Brook. You will learn about the various groups working in our state, meet and collaborate with fellow pro-lifers, and get energized for the coming year.
This year’s keynote speaker is Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life of America. Students for Life is a nationwide organization dedicated to transforming the culture by recruiting, training and mobilizing pro-lifers to abolish abortion. Mrs. Hawkins wrote Courageous: Students Abolishing Abortion in this Lifetime.
Additional speakers will be Jackie Bedore, the Director of Campus Ministry at Benet Academy, who will focus on how to share pro-life values with young people. Peter Breen, Special Counsel to Thomas More Society and former Illinois Representative will speak on how to share pro-life values with elected officials. Lastly, a panel of pastors will give us their insights on discussing pro-life values with pastors.

“Last year was my first time attending the conference. I simply did not know about it,” stated Veronica Studnicka from Bethany Christian Services. “I was so moved by the speakers and it allowed me to connect with other pro-life advocates. I never considered myself a pro-life activist. I just donated to pro-life nonprofits. Now I can say I am an activist and I love sharing with others the resources that have helped to empower me as a pro-life activist. I’m Hispanic and Spanish speaking so I tend to share with Spanish speakers the importance of valuing life. As soon as I get my hands on Spanish pro-life materials, I am mailing them off to others within my network. Last year, I even took a family member who is not so much pro-life, but it allowed them to hear the pro-life side from phenomenal speakers.”
For discounted rates for the general public, register before February 28. There are discounted rates for clergy and students. Doors open at 8:30 AM and breakfast and talks begin at 9:00 AM. If you would like to attend, you can register by visitingwww.SpeakOutIllinois.org/register.
