St. Patricia School Inducts 2018 Student Council and JHS Members

Congratulations to those students choosing leadership roles through serving on Student Council and the Junior Honor Society.

St. Patricia students, staff, and proud parents gathered in church on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 to induct members of Student Council and Junior Honors Society in an inspiring ceremony. These two service organizations serve St. Patricia School in many ways throughout the school year. Student Council is hosting Family Game Nights this year and will be donating a new water fountain to be installed in the near future. Student Council members were voted into office by their peers earlier this year.

Junior Honor Society focuses on five pillars for its members: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and leadership. In order to qualify for JHS, students must have a 3.2 grade point average and no grades lower than a B- on their report cards in 7th grade. In addition to the grade point average requirement in 7th grade, they must also have 15 service hours in 7th grade. Students then must maintain a 3.2 grade point average throughout 8th grade year to remain in the honors group.

We are proud of all our students who choose to commit themselves to service! They are following a path that will lead them not only to success, but to a heart full of compassion. All it takes is one candle, and we can fill world with our light.
