Stagg H.S. to Stage ‘You Can’t Take It with You’ Nov. 4–5
Two performances, both at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets available at the door.

PALOS HILLS – Stagg High School Drama Club presents its fall play, “You Can’t Take It with You” by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 and 5 in the Performing Arts Center at the high school, 8015 W. 111th St.
The play, which premiered in 1936 on Broadway, won the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and later was adapted into an Academy Award-winning movie.
Tickets cost $6 for adults, $5 for students and $3 for senior citizens and children. Tickets are sold the day of the show. The box office opens at 6 p.m.
“You Can’t Take it with You” features a slightly crazy New York City family, the Sycamores, an eccentric group whose hobbies include building fireworks in the basement, writing plays that don’t get published, collecting snakes and taking ballet lessons. Normal things like paying taxes and jobs are for other people – not them.
When Alice Sycamore gets engaged to her company’s vice president, Tony Kirby, her clan must straighten up to meet their in-laws. The Kirbys arrive at the wrong time and see the Sycamore family in all its manic glory. Arrests follow and Alice ends her engagement. It will take action by one family member to save the situation.
