Trinity Christian College Hosts 2019 Midwest Harp Festival
Four free concerts will be offered during the Midwest Harp Festival at Trinity Christian College July 13 through July 20.
PALOS HEIGHTS, IL—Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights will be the proud host of the 2019 Midwest Harp Festival. Harpists throughout the Midwest will converge on the campus for a week of learning and free concerts for the community from July 13 through July 20.
Four FREE public concerts will be offered during the week-long fest:
- Faculty concert, 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 15
- Competition Winners Recital, 7:30 Tuesday, July 16
- Guest artist Jacqueline Kerrod, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18
- Ensemble Concert, 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20
The concerts will take place at Trinity’s Ozinga Chapel Auditorium, 6601 W. College Dr., Palos Heights. The Midwest Harp Festival store will also be open if you’re looking for sheet music or strings for your harp.

The 2019 Midwest Harp Festival is a week-long event that includes morning ensemble rehearsals, afternoon workshops, a solo competition, and teen activities. About 50 harpists and harp enthusiasts are expected to attend this year’s festival. The festival is sponsored by the Barton Harp Initiative. Spots may still open and half-day options are available by visiting the festival website.
