Where To Get Thanksgiving Dinner Catered In The South Suburbs

CHICAGO SOUTHLAND — The pandemic has upended many things this year, including holiday planning. With large gatherings discouraged and the number of COVID-19 cases on the rise, you may have scaled back your plans for Thanksgiving, which this year falls on Thursday, Nov, 26.

If you don’t want to cook a large dinner for the people in your bubble, or if you’re alone sheltering in place, here’s a list of restaurants and stores that are offering Thanksgiving dinners:

Barraco’s, 3701 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park. Has a Thanksgiving dinner package for $99.99, including a 10-12 pound turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, a dozen rolls, cranberries and pie. Order by Nov. 23; can be delivered. Call 708-424-8182. Please note that all other Baracco’s locations will be closed on Thanksgiving.

Barrel Club, 4910 W. 111th St., Oak Lawn. Ready-to-eat turkey dinner packages with all the trimmings for two ($45) and four people ($90); extras can be added for an additional cost and can be picked up on Thanksgiving Day. Order by Nov. 23.

Berger Station, 10236 S. Ridgeland Ave., Chicago Ridge. Offering honey glazed ham dinners, loaded with Brussels spouts, mashed potatoes, roasted green beans and creamed cornbread casserole. Dinner for two, $35; dinner for four, $70. Add bread pudding for two, $5; for four $10. All orders must be placed by Nov. 22; pickup is Nov. 25. Call 708-907-5948 to order.

Chuck’s Southern Comfort Cafe, 6501S. 79th St., Burbank. Chuck’s is offering a choice of turkey or glazed ham catered dinners for $139.99, which feed 6-8 people. Call 708-229-8700 to speak to catering specialist. Orders must be placed by Nov. 22.

Gaston’s Bistro 14438 John Humphrey Drive, Orland Park. Gaston’s is offering entire turkey dinners that can feed 6 to 8 people, including a 10 to 12-pound turkey, mashed potatoes, carrots, creamed corn stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, breadsticks, candied yams and a 10-inch pumpkin pie for $139.99. Order before 8 p.m. Nov. 24; pick up Thanksgiving Day between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Call 708-403-3663.

Jedi’s Garden, 9266 S Cicero Ave., Oak Lawn. Open 7 a.m. to midnight for curbside and delivery. Might want to get your order in early on Thanksgiving. Call 708-499-4545.

Jenny’s Steak House and Pub, 11041 S. Menard Ave., Chicago Ridge. Serving up entire turkey dinners that feed 6 to 8 people, including white and dark meet, ½-pound bread stuffing, ½-pound pan mashed potatoes and stuffing; ½-fresh veggie medley, ½-pan rigatoni and sausage and cranberries. Order by Nov. 24; pick up 3 to 7 p.m. Nov. 25. Add 2-pounds baked ham with sweet potato pie. Call 708-229-2272 to order.

Lassak Delicatessen, 8017 W. 103rd St., Palos Hills. The Polish grocery store is offering a feast serving up to 10 people, including turkey, gravy, homemade stuffing, choice of mashed potatoes or dumplings, coleslaw, green beans, cranberries and apple cobbler for $149.99.
