The hospital was ranked No. 11 in the state by U.S. News & World Report for 2013-2014.
Advocate Lutheran General Hospital has been named one of the best in Illinois, according to U.S. News and World Report.
The Park Ridge hospital was ranked No. 11 in Illinois by the publication's "Best Hospitals" report for 2013-2014. Advocate Lutheran General ranked “nearly at the level of nationally ranked U.S. News Best Hospitals” in 11 adult categories:
- Cancer
- Diabetes & Endocrinology
- Ear, Nose & Throat
- Gastroenterology & GI Surgery
- Geriatrics
- Gynecology
- Nephrology
- Neurology & Neurosurgery
- Orthopedics
- Pulmonology
The hospital also scored above the state and national average for patient satisfaction, with 79 percent of discharged patients surveyed saying they would recommend the hospital to friends and family.
