Business Robbed at Gunpoint in Park Ridge

An employee working at a cell phone store in the 300 block of Higgins Road was robbed at gunpoint on May 11 around 3 p.m., police said.

Officers responded to an armed robbery at Airtech Cellular, 304  W. Higgins Road, on May 11 around 3:12 p.m. According to police, two men entered the store. One subject ordered an employee to a storage room at gunpoint.

The duo then took several cell phones from the store, the report stated.

The first offender was described as a black male, about 25-years-of age, 6-feet-tall, 185-pounds, wearing a Chicago Bulls jacket, red hoodie and a baseball hat, police said. The second subject was a black male, also about 25-years-old and 6-feet-tall, weighing about 185-pounds and was wearing a grey hoodie.

The culprits fled in a minivan with a luggage bag containing the stolen goods.
