Car Stolen From Park Ridge Homeowner Who Left Front Door Unlocked
Park Ridge police are looking for a man who entered a woman's home and stole her car keys, then her car.

PARK RIDGE, IL - A man who entered an unlocked home in Park Ridge Tuesday night stole the homeowner's car keys and then her car, police said in a Nixle alert shared with the community on Wednesday. Police are searching for a white man with a medium complexion who is approximately 25 years old, 6'0" to 6'2" and who fled the area in the victim's 2013 Silver Volvo with an Illinois registration beginning with V26.
Police were contacted numerous times Wednesday night in reference to a suspicious person trying to open door handles and running away when finding out doors were locked.
A resident in the 700 block of Seminary reported finding someone in their home at 8:23 p.m., but the offender ran away when he was confronted by the homeowner.

Nearly three hours later, a woman who lives in the 1600 block of Devon Avenue said a man entered her unlocked front door and was in her home. She said the man was there for a few minutes and left with the keys to her car. When she looked out the window, the man had left the area heading west on Devon.
The fugitive was wearing a black knit hat, gray hooded sweatshirt and had a backpack at the time of the theft, the victim told police.
