Catalytic Converters Stolen From Vehicles

Theft from auto
A car parked in the 800 block of Western was reported burglarized on April 5. Missing from the vehicle were a briefcase and various documents.

A car parked in the 1500 block of Touhy was reported burglarized on April 2. Missing from the vehicle was a toy remote controlled helicopter.
Damaged door

An unknown person(s) damaged a home's door in the 1700 block of Pavillion Way on April 8.
Stolen backpack
A backpack containing an iPod Touch was reported stolen from a school in the 1100 block of Dee Road on April 4.
Stolen scooter
A scooter was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Crescent on April 8.
Catalytic convertor stolen
Two catalytic convertors were reported stolen from vehicles parked in the 100 block of Fairview on April 4. The car part contains precious metals which are often sold to scrappers for about $100. The repair bill, however, usually cost drivers in the thousands.
