City Of Park Ridge Mayor Rescinds Emergency Face Covering Measures

Effective at noon, Tuesday, May 18, 2021, City of Park Ridge Mayor Marty Maloney issued Executive Order 2021-02 rescinding emergency face covering measures due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. This action aligns the city with the State of Illinois Bridge Phase Order.

Following guidance from the CDC fully vaccinated people can stop wearing a mask and practicing social distancing in most indoor and outdoor settings. It is required that fully vaccinated people wear masks in health care settings and on planes, trains and other forms of public transportation and in transportation hubs. Private entities (including restaurants, retail locations, personal services facilities and others) are permitted to continue stricter masking requirements than are required by the state but should continue to adhere to Restore Illinois Bridge Phase Mitigations. Please note that currently, the Illinois State Board of Education and Illinois Department of Public Health does require masks in schools. The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services does require masks in daycare.
