Park Ridge-area drivers might want to allow more time for the morning and evening commutes in the coming months.
The bridge replacement project on Cumberland Avenue over the Kennedy Expressway is set to begin June 24, the Journal & Topics reports. The project is expected to last through October of 2014. Some lanes of traffic on Cumberland will be closed due to construction. According to IDOT, there will also be drainage work, traffic signals, lighting and other improvements done to the roadway.
