Contract Talks Underway For District 63 Staff Memebers

Four unions representing employees of the district have contracts that expire at the end of June, the Journal & Topics reports.

Contract negotiations are underway for staff members at East Maine Elementary School District 63, the Journal & Topics reports.

Contracts with four unions representing maintenance/custodial workers, teacher’s assistants, educational support staff and teachers are all set to expire on June 30. District 63 Superintendent Scott Clay said he wants shorter contracts with all four unions this time, mostly because of pension issues in Springfield.
