District 207 Superintendent Earns $50K Bonus

The merit pay comes after an evaluation by the district's school board.

After a school board evaluation, Maine Township High School District 207 Superintendent Ken Wallace earned a $50,000 merit bonus, the Daily Herald reports.

Wallace received the pay hike after meeting goals that included proposing a new bell schedule and creating a plan to lower student fees, the report stated.

Wallace's annual salary without the bonus is $210,000, and his contract includes that he can be awarded a merit bonus after a school board evaluation, the report added.
