Gun Fired Out Back Door Of Park Ridge Home; Man Charged
Park Ridge police say a 27-year-old man fired multiple rounds from a gun out his back door on Hamlin Avenue.

PARK RIDGE, IL - A Park Ridge man has been charged after he used a gun to shoot a number of rounds out his back door Monday night, police said. Police arrested Michael Kula, 27, of the 100 block of N. Hamlin after arriving on the scene following multiple complaints by residents of loud noises in the area.
A foot search began at about 5 p.m. in the 100 block of N. Hamlin after numerous residents reported hearing noises that sounded like gun shots coming from the rear of a nearby home, police said in a Nixle alert shared on Tuesday.
Contact was made with the resident, who exited the residence and cooperated with the officers. A brief investigation revealed the man, later identified as Kula, fired rounds out his back door.

The Cook County State's Attorney's Office later approved felony charges of reckless discharge of a firearm.
