The Global Girls Festival was created by the ICMC as a 14-week film immersion program and is led by ICMC Executive Director Nicole Dreiske.

Designed to prompt thought-provoking discussion of 40-50 short films screened by participants that culminates in the final selection of films curated by residents themselves.

One resident at the Harbour stated, “Watching these films, I was able to gain new perspectives, and I hope that others who watch them find a new way to view the world. Everyone in the world is connected through laughter and pain and that is exactly what they bring—human emotion.”

Audiences are welcome to attend a reception prior to the screening and vote for their favorite films immediately following each program.

Their participation determines the winner of the “Best of Fest” prize to be awarded to the film that receives the greatest number of votes. A gallery showing of photos taken by Harbour residents will be on display at the Ianelli Studios during the reception.

Tickets to the festival are $10.
