Kalo tour goers learn Park Ridge history at Pickwick tour

Behind-the-scenes tour highlights Alfonso Iannelli's contributions to landmark theater

Dino Vlahakis, co-owner of the Pickwick Theatre in Park Ridge, narrated a sold out behind-the-scenes tour of the landmark movie palace on behalf of the The Kalo Foundation of Park Ridge May 15. Following the tour, the 40 tour goers lunched at Iannelli Studios Heritage Center, 255 N. Northwest Highway, home and studio of the artist and sculptor who designed much of the ornamentation for the iconic theater. The home and studio is open for tours Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For information, call (847) 261-4595.
