Knights of Columbus Council 4338 Steps Up to Aid Food Pantry
Cash donations from the K of C Council and its Grand Knight help feed needy families in Maine Township. Donations included masks

Maine Township’s Food Pantry has been extremely active in recent months as record unemployment hits the area increasing the need for public assistance such as free food. Food is available Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food and financial donations are also accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here, on May 19 Mel Koenigs of Niles, the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 4338 which serves St. John Brebeuf of Niles and other parishes, hands checks totaling $900 to Carol Langan, Food Pantry Coordinator. Funds came from Koenigs on a personal basis and the Knights Council. In addition, Langan holds some of the face masks donated by Tribune Products Office Supply and the Barton Event Management Group. The supply of masks was a donation for the township residents. For more information about donating or receiving food, masks and other assistance visit www.mainetown.com or call 847-297-2510.
