Maine South Students Detect Dee Road Fire After Hockey Practice
A carpooling hockey team is being credited with saving a Park Ridge couple from a house fire on their way home from practice last month.

PARK RIDGE, IL — A fire started by an oily rag was threatening the house of a Park Ridge couple as members of the Maine Hockey JV2 team were driving by on their way home from practice on Oct. 22, Pioneer Press reported. The couple crediting them for saving both their home and their lives when they arrived around 9:30 p.m. that night to warn: "Your house is on fire."
