New hair salon proposed for Vine Street in Park Ridge
The business would join another salon and a barber shop on the same block
The Park Ridge Planning and Zoning Commission approved a proposed salon for for 141 Vine Ave. according to the Park Ridge Herald-Advocate. The location was previously a bike shop, but was also used as an artificial Christmas tree shop.
The salon would join a barber shop and another salon in a small strip of businesses opposite Hodges Park.
Special approval is needed for the salon because it would be located in an area for businesses that normally produce more tax revenue. The city council is expected to vote on the permit for the salon at their December 5 meeting.
