Park Ridge Bank Robbed By Masked Man
UPDATE: The FBI has released photographs of the bundled-up bandit.

PARK RIDGE, IL — Two banks were robbed on Touhy Avenue within a couple hours on Saturday, but the FBI does not believe the two were carried out by the same man. Around 12:30 p.m., a man wearing all dark clothes and obscuring his face entered the Liberty Bank branch at 1018 W. Touhy Ave.
The suspect was described as a man wearing a zipped-up slender gray hooded sweatshirt pulled over a dark baseball cap with a black brim. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a black fleece facemask pulled over his nose, black jeans, black shoes and knitted gray work gloves, according to police and the FBI.
Park Ridge Police Deputy Chief Lou Jogman said the man was "as covered as he possibly could be."

The robber demanded money from a teller, but he did not show or imply that he had a weapon and he did not pass a not, Jogman said. The teller handed over some cash and the man left the bank without other staff or customers realizing it had just been robbed. Jogman said the robber fled eastbound out the door and then headed north into the first alley. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest news for Park Ridge — or your community. Saturday's second bank robbery on Touhy Avenue was reported shortly before 2 p.m. at the Rosemont Fifth Third Bank, 7150 Mannheim Rd.
The FBI said the Rosemont robber is also thought to have been behind three other suburban bank robberies this year. He started in Woodridge in January, robbed an Elgin bank in February and struck a Chase Bank branch in Buffalo grove late last month.
Saturday's two Touhy Avenue bank robberies are not thought to be related, according to FBI spokesperson Garret Croon.
