Attempted burglary

Police responded to a burglary in the 1100 block of Austin on Jan. 19. According to the report, an unknown person(s) attempted to gain access into a home with a pry tool but was unsuccessful, police said.

Stolen electronics

Several electronics, cell phones and computers were reported stolen from a home in the 1900 block fo Crescent Drive on Jan. 18.

Attempted garage burglary

A woman might have scared off a burglar after yelling that she was "going to call the police" on Jan. 20. According to the report, the homeowner heard an unknown subject attempting to enter her residence through a garage service door and yelled.   

The offender then exited through the garage door, police said. A witness reported seeing a white male, approximately 5-foot-10, wearing jeans and a dark pullover sweater, crawl from underneath the victim's garage and get into a silver colored SUV, police said. No arrests were made.

Vehicle vandalism

A car parked in the 100 block of Talcott Road was scratched with a sharp object on Jan. 22.

Flower pot damage

An unknown person(s) damaged a ceramic flower pot outside a home in the 300 block of Aldine Avenue on Jan. 18.

Stolen wine

A business owner reported that a man stole two bottles of wine from his store in the 1900 block of Cumberland Avenue on Jan. 21. The offender was with two other subjects who were also attempting to steal liquor, but were stopped by the owner, police said.
