Attempted burglary

Police responded to an attempted burglary in the 700 block of Washington on March 24. The offender(s) damaged a window pane, but did not gain entry, the report stated.

A fire pit, shed and landscaping equipment were reported stolen from a home in the 700 block of Home Street on March 27.

Theft from auto

A purse was reported stolen from a car parked in the 800 block of Touhy Avenue on March 28. The offender(s) gained entry by smashing out one of the vehicle's windows, the report stated.

A purse and digital camera were reported stolen from a car parked in the 900 block of Touhy Avenue on March 28. The offender(s) gained entry by prying open one of the vehicle's doors.

A purse was reported stolen from a car parked in the 800 block of Touhy Avenue on March 28. The offender(s) smashed a window open to gain entry, the report stated.

Busted window

A car parked in the 2000 block of DeCook had its windows busted by an unknown offender(s) on March 25.

Slashed tires

A vehicle owner reported that an unknown person(s) slashed three of his tires in the 600 block of Crescent on March 28.

Stolen phone

A woman reported her iPhone stolen after visiting her doctor's office in the 1700 block of Dempster on March 28.

Donation box stolen

A donation box containing cash was reported stolen from a restaurant in the 100 block of Northwest Highway on March 25.

Stolen sign

A metal real estate sign was reported stolen from outside a home in the 300 block of Grand on March 24.
