Park Ridge Blotter: Pickpocket, Burglary

The following arrest information was supplied by the Park Ridge Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary

Police responded to a burglary in the 2700 block of Oakton on April 14. When officers arrived, they saw a window that was damaged to gain entry, the report stated. However, it is unknown if any items are missing at this time, police said.

Theft from auto

A carrying case and paperwork were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Vine on April 15. The items would later be recovered on a neighboring lawn, the report stated.

A set of headphones and DVDs were reported stolen from a car parked in the 1600 block of Washington on April 15.

Vehicle vandalism

A car parked in the 1200 block of Linden was vandalized on April 12. According to the report, an unknown person scratched the hood of the car.

Three unknown male juveniles threw rocks at a car's windshield in the 800 block of Prospect on April 14.

An unknown person scratched the side of a vehicle parked in the 1200 block of Crescent on April 15.

Stolen phone

A student reported his iPhone stolen while at school in the 1100 block of Dee Road on April 10.

Purse theft

A woman reported her purse stolen while shopping at a grocery store in the 1900 block of Cumberland on April 14. The woman told police that she left her purse in her shopping cart.

Pickpocket

A woman reported her wallet stolen after another woman bumped into her in the 100 block of Northwest Highway on April 17. The offender was described as a black female, early 20s, 5-foot-6 and about 200 pounds, police said.
