Park Ridge Library Collects $97,000 in Fines

Library fines at the Park Ridge Public Library are really adding up, the Park Ridge Herald-Advocate reports.

The library collected $97,074 in overdue fines during the 2012-2013 fiscal year. That number is up $10,000 from the year before. Fines for most overdue items are only 20-cents per day, but the cost for late DVDs and video games is $1 per day, the newspaper reports.
