Park Ridge Public Library: An Update On The Life Safety Compliance Project

As work progresses inside the Library building to bring the facility into life safety code compliance, including installation of a new sprinkler system, work began today to install a new water main. The new main will lead to Summit Avenue and will require excavation on the north side of the parking lot next to the Library. The old water main leading to Touhy Ave will be removed later in April.

While this work is occurring, the drive-thru dropboxes will still be available, and the public areas of the lot will be available for patron use. The excavation work in the parking lot is expected to be completed early next week.
