The Pickwick Restaurant Returns to Park Ridge

The new restaurant could open this fall at the corner of Prospect Avenue and Northwest Highway.

Restaurateur Dino Sarantopoulos is resurrecting a new version of the Pickwick Restaurant that is expected to be open soon at the corner of Prospect Avenue and Northwest Highway in Uptown, the Chicago Tribune reports. The iconic eatery will bear the Pickwick Restaurant name and the original red fluorescent sign above the door will remain, the story reports.

"It will be what people are used to," said Sarantopoulos in the story. "I hope my menu will be what they are looking for."

The eatery's menu will feature a similar menu to its predecessor, serving up traditional Greek-American diner dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Entrees range from omelets to chicken and steak dinners, Sarantopoulos said in the story. Sandwiches, salads, homemade soups and bar drinks will also be available.
