Problem with Park Ridge light poles means some Christmas decorations are coming down
Cracks and bulges reported on some light poles

Park Ridge Public Works Director Wayne Zingsheim indicated that slight cracks and bulges were discovered on some light poles on Prospect Avenue, according to the Park Ridge Herald Advocate. The affected poles, which are located between Touhy and Summit Avenues, had been used to suspend holiday light displays above the street.
"The poles are very solid, but we don't want to take any chances," Zigsheim told the Herald Advocate. The poles will be replaced, but it the installation will take six weeks. Holiday Lights Fund member Rick Biagi said his organization is looking to add more lights in other locations.
