24-Year-Old Charged With Aggravated Assault Of Officer: Blotter

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The following information comes from the Romeoville Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are sometimes dropped or reduced. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
DUI
- Eduardo Rios, 26, was arrested at 4:11 a.m. on May 22 in the 200 block of Weber Road on charges of driving under the influence. Rios is held with a $3,000 bond.
- Maya Gavin, 49, of Joliet, was arrested on May 23 at 1:34 a.m. near Weber and Normantown Roads. She was charged with improper lane usage and driving under the influence.
THEFT

- Steven Madera, 45, was arrested on May 23 on a charge of retail theft at a strip mall on the 400 block of Weber Road. Madera, a Joliet native, was released on his own recognizance.
- David Avila, 18, was arrested on May 30 on a charge of retail theft on the 400 block of Weber Road. Avila was held with a $120 bond.
- Kimberly Glista , 45, was arrested on a theft charge on June 1 in the 300 block of Haller Avenue at 6:31 p.m. Glista was released on her own recognizance.
DOMESTIC ARRESTS
- Bernard Thompson, 24, was charged with aggravated assault of a police officer and violation of an order of protection. Thompson, a Plainfield native, was arrested on May 30 in the 700 block of North Sleep Hollow Lane. He was taken to Will County Adult Detention Facility.
- Ryan Devine, 37, was charged with domestic battery on May 30 in the 500 block of Kathleen Drive. Devine was taken to Will County Adult Detention Facility.
IN-STATE WARRANTS

- Erica Patino, 28, of Joliet, was arrested and taken to Will County Adult Detention Facility for an in-state warrant. Patino was arrested on the 200 block of Weber Road.
INCIDENTS
GRAFFITI
- Criminal damage to property was reported on May 25 in the 400 block of Woodlawn. An unknown person or persons sprayed graffiti on a garage and a portion of a village building.
