Construction Continues At I-55, Weber Road Interchange
Over the next two weeks, work includes asphalt paving, storm sewer work, and gutter, median and sidewalk at Remington Drive.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Construction continues at the Interstate 55 and Weber Road interchange, and the Village of Romeoville shared a 2-week outlook on the ongoing project.
According to the village website, over the next two weeks, construction for the Weber Road north contract will include: concrete pavement construction; storm sewer work; asphalt paving at the northeast ramp; aggregate base construction at the southwest ramp; earthwork at the northwest ramp; concrete and asphalt pavement, curb and driveways at Lakeview Drive; gutter, median and sidewalk at Remington Drive; and cleaning and painting of existing beam seats at the bridge.
The Weber Road south contract work will include concrete pavement construction, underground work for traffic signals, earthwork at the ponds, and pavement work at 135th Street west of Weber Road.

The original complete date for the project was Aug. 6, but is now Jan. 10, 2022, according to the village.
