Driver Blocked Traffic, Fled Into Jewel Store: Romeoville Police
Romeoville police said charges of driving with a suspended license and resisting a police officer were pending.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Charges against a motorist are pending after an incident near Taylor and Weber Roads earlier this week, police said. Police said a driver fled after officers responded to a report of a stalled car blocking traffic just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said when officers approached the motorist, they fled into the nearby Jewel-Osco, where they were apprehended.
Police said the person was showing signs of physical and mental distress, and was later taken to a local hospital.

Charges for driving with a suspended license and resisting a police officer are pending, Romeoville police said.
The village posted to Facebook Tuesday afternoon, alerting the public of the incident, and said the situation was resolved.
