DUI, Burglaries, Battery: Romeoville Blotter

Arrests and incidents occurred between Nov. 13 and Nov. 28.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Nov. 13

Federico Ortiz, 41, of the 700 block of N. Misty Ridge Dr. in Romeoville, was charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol, no insurance and speeding. The arrest occurred in the area of Route 53 and Material Service Road.

Nov. 17

Enrique Guzman-Garcia, 25, of the 100 block of Edison Road in Joliet, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol. The arrest occurred in the area of Route 53 and Montrose.

Nov. 20

A residential burglary was reported in the 200 block of West Daisy Circle. Someone entered the garage of the residence and took numerous pieces of fishing equipment and other unknown items. The value of the items taken is unknown at this time.

Nov. 21

Hector Rosales, 39, of the 2200 block of Walnut Ave. in Hanover Park, was charged with battery. The arrest occurred in the 700 block of South Weber.

Nov. 22

Jessie Nelson, 50, of the 1600 block of Kimberly Ln. in Romeoville, was charged with violation of bail bond conditions. The arrest occurred in the 1600 block of Kimberly Lane.

A residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of Hudson. Someone took several items of jewelry valued at $7,455 from the residence.

A theft of motor vehicle parts was reported in the 300 block of Ramsey. Someone damaged a spare tire cable lock and took the spare tire from a vehicle that was parked in the street. Estimated cost to replace the items is $450.

Nov. 23

Richard Ortiz, 21, of the 600 block of Palmer Ave. in Romeoville, was charged with obstructing an officer, no valid driver’s license, disobeying a traffic sign, no insurance and illegal squealing of tires. The arrest occurred in the area of Romeo Road and Macon.

Nov. 24

Martin Wnek, 42, of the 200 block of Gordon Ave. in Romeoville, was charged battery. The arrest occurred in the 700 block of Belmont.

A theft under $500.00 was reported in the 100 block of Wedgewood Circle. Someone took holiday decorations with a value of $30.00 from the yard.

Nov. 25

Cristal Jasso, 20, of the 0-100 block of N. Boulder Ave. in Joliet, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 200 block of South Weber.

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 1900 block of Brimstone. Someone cut wires on three lighted holiday decorations doing $50.00 in damages.

Nov. 27

Brian Delong, 28, of the 100 block of Highpoint Dr. in Romeoville, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber Road.

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 700 block of Arbury Court. Someone used a landscaping brick to damage the windshield of a vehicle that was parked in the street. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $400.

A 17-year-old juvenile was was arrested in the 200 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

Nov. 28

Malik Carmichael, 19, of Plainfield, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber Road.

Gianni Pentecost, 18, of the 300 block of Wedgewood Circle in Romeoville, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber Road.

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 300 block of McKool. Someone slashed a tire on vehicle that was parked in the street.

A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 1400 block of Joliet Road. Someone spray painted graffiti on the building. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $100.
