Romeoville Man Dies In Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash: Police
Kevin T. Lawlor, 46, was traveling south on Independence Boulevard when he collided with a semi-tractor driven by a North Aurora resident.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — A man died Monday in a fatal two-vehicle crash, according to the Romeoville Police Department. Officers responded to the area of Independence Boulevard and Material Road at 12:10 p.m.
Kevin T. Lawlor, 46, of Romeoville was traveling south on Independence Boulevard at Material Road, and a Kenilworth semi-tractor with trailer, driven by a 58-year-old North Aurora resident, was traveling north on Independence Boulevard, police said.
The vehicles collided near the intersection. The driver of the semi-tractor suffered minor injuries and Lawlor was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The Romeoville Police Traffic Unit is currently conducting a traffic crash investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
The village is still asking residents to avoid Route 53 from Murphy Drive to Taylor Road, which is closed due to the accident.
